Cookies
We use a small set of cookies and equivalent storage to keep Varity logged in, remember your preferences, and run privacy-first analytics. No ad-tech, no cross-site tracking.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required to deliver Varity. Disabling them will break login, billing, and per-workspace navigation.
- Session cookies for authentication (HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Lax).
- CSRF tokens for state-changing requests.
- Workspace and feature-flag cookies that route you to the correct surface and respect your team's settings.
Preferences
These remember the small choices that make the product feel like yours.
- Theme (light/dark/system).
- Sidebar collapsed state and tab last-visited.
- Help-panel and onboarding-tour progress.
Analytics
We run privacy-first product analytics so we know which features people actually use. We do not run any ad-tech pixel, and we do not share analytics with third parties beyond the processors listed in /legal/privacy.
- Aggregated event counts (page views, action clicks, feature usage) — no personally identifiable details, no cross-site joining.
- Error reports through Sentry, with PII automatically scrubbed before send.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; doing so will sign you out of Varity and reset your preferences. EU/UK visitors see a consent banner on first visit and can change choices any time at /settings/privacy.
This page is informational and reflects how Varity currently operates. It is not legal advice and does not replace a customer agreement; enterprise customers receive a signed DPA and order form alongside these public terms.
